London river review

London River (2009) Review
Director/ writer
Rachid Bouchareb - French

On Wikipedia it says that this is a British film, well I disagree, yes it was set in Briton, yes it has London in the title but this film is far from British. Only one of the casts is English, the director and writer are not English it was not even realest in England. So as far as this film goes it is a French film about London and the bombings just like slumdog millionaire is a British film (only just though) but set in India.
A British film for me is a film that is made with British people in it and feels British like a Shawn Meadows film. Yes it has all the stuff like British actors, money and all the rest but mostly it feels British, his film celebrate what are county is built on! Are past! His films use British narrative, British slang and British jokes. For me films these day try to hard to fit in with the rest of the world practically America. Like we change are ascents and humour for them just like “a yellow submarine” this them makes it a American film as it is made with them in mind. A British film is made for British people 1st and the rest of the world second and is not made to make loads of money like the blockbusters in Hollywood but simply for the enjoyment of the art of film making.
Films like Harry Potter and the new James Bonds films I believe are sell outs of are country and therefore we should disown them!
